My grandmother wears a diaper during the night and we use pull ups to hold it in place. I don't think the diaper is being applied correctly as it's a good 3 inched down her leg and never gets flush with her under area. I think this is causing issues around the surrounding skin because of dampness.
She does not have great mobility. Even when she stands and spreads as much as she can, the diaper still won't go up. I haven't tried much pressure I'm pushing them up.
Anyone ever had this issue?
Fold groin part in half, move it up past thighs to the body, unbunch into place, connect side tabs.

How is she getting clean if you can't accomplish this?
She is able to get up and go to the toilet but occasionally she won't make it and soils the diaper. I don't think she will be up to being rolled and a diaper put on but I can try.
I want to make sure the question posed is the focus. If you can't get a diaper flush to her groin because of thick thigh, is there any tips?
I would imagine this has to be done in order to properly clean and dry the peri area as well as to apply any barrier cream that is being used. (and a barrier cream should be used, a very light application to protect the skin)
