So he stated it was mild to moderate. He never spoke to me, my GP told me. Neither were very concerned so I really am not. I’m a 63 year old female with years of stress and take care of an aunt with dementia and my husband. Yes I forget things but who wouldn’t taking care of others with dementia. Stress is high, but I do look to God for strength and wisdom. Was I concerned, YES. But not much I can do about it. Leaving for Europe this month solo. I don’t think I will get lost, but I plan to have a great time. I will take each day and be grateful for it. My only question is, can it be wrong and I have something else. What would Dr. Omen do? Thank you
Maybe you should get a second opinion. Hopefully you can get more info about what might be causing your issues, and any possible treatments.
I'm glad you have a trip to Europe on the horizon -- I'm jealous! Perhaps while you are travelling you can arrange to check in with a family member regularly, and carry ID; carrying a cell phone that works in Europe on you would probably be good to have too.
As to your solo European trip, do you speak any of the languages of the countries you plan to visit? It wouldn't hurt to make plans with family or friends here in the States for periodic check-ins, especially if you plan any solo ventures, such as hiking. You could also check in with the local police in the area to let them know of your presence, and your diagnosis.
Europe is such a fascinating place; I'd hate to see your excitement dampened by even the basic challenges of international travel that anyone can face.
