Find Care & Housing
I think the best solution is for your family to come down and help you move.

I'm not aware of any agencies, or federal or state funds that help people move.

Most people use family and friends to move them, though I hire movers as many of my family and friends already have back injuries. I don't want someone out of work due to lifting my fridge.

Anyway, you might see what it would cost to rent a truck, assuming friends or neighbors could load it for you at both ends and then compare that with what the costs would be if you sold it all and bought new or used in your new location.

I'm not sure of any places to get funds for things like this.

thank you for your responses..I have already utilized my family in both states to load/unload. my problem is getting enough $$$ together to pay for a van, gas, possible hotel on the way up, etc. the North is quite economically depressed right now so funds from my family are limited. My motto is: where there is a will, there is a way..I'll find it thank you, though
