My mom with advanced MS came to live with us and she has declined severely and sadly is actively passing on hospice. She is holding on, looks like she’s fighting, she’s had a long rough fight with MS. Now saying this, my 5 year old daughter just came down with a 103 temp. I’m sure she has some sort of virus. We have a small home and it’s hard to keep the 6 of us away from each other. I don’t see it being at all good if my mom gets sick, she can’t speak but it looks like she feels horrible as is. Is this a true emergency worry? I’m of course taking the precautions of washing my hands well, plus using sanitizer whenever going in her room.
If your mother looks like she feels horrible, check her temperature and if it's high, treat it. Relieving symptoms is fine on hospice, and relieving a fever is safe and easy.
