Sorry to say, but this site has been so depressing for a few days. I thought I'd ask an average, everyday question....to make us all feel a little more normal today.
I made Eggplant Lasagna, and my BIL and SIL are coming for dinner. They leave for Cali tomorrow to see their beautiful grand daughter.
Sorry, sometimes we just need some REGULAR conversation.......or at least THIS caregiver does.
glad - yes rasher is a slice. Must be my British vocab popping up.
I have to share that I was tasting different parts this afternoon. Nice mouth experience. First the cinnamon and cardamom, then the orange and caraway, then the red cabbage and bacon. I could have used more onion and will next time. Some put garlic in too which I may try. I was first taught this recipe by a room mate in Montreal who was a red haired Nova Scotian who could figure skate. It was a fun time in my life - young at the time. Good memories!
I read that book about stone soup to my children a million times! It’s a cute book.
That sounds absolutely delicious! Yummy 😋
We had grilled salmon and veggies.
Crack slaw sounds delicious. I actually have some ground chicken and red cabbage in the house. I think I'll give this a try tonight for supper.
I’ve gotta food shop tomorrow.
cw - that sounds good.
What is chicken crack slaw? I'm intrigued.
Mom was afraid to eat because she didn't have any money :(
I told her that I had her covered she was thankful. But, she wants to leave because the people who own the house are coming back.
I told her I own the house....and I got a "sure, Jan" smile. lol
Put two frozen chicken carcasses in the electric pressure cooker with water as Stage 1 of making chicken soup. I'll make bone broth tomorrow then the soup.
