Find Care & Housing
KNance says 30.00 an hour. In my area of the country we are up to about 40.00 an hour, but a gardener is 50.00 an hour. I would call around to check things out in your own area. And do know "qualified" definition varies.

Just over one year ago my friend returned home on Hospice to die. She required caregiver in home and hired two women, each doing DAILY without days off, 12 hour shifts for 25.00 an hour. Latinas, they may well have been illegals, and one had, prior to my friend's illness done some cleaning and hauling for her. They became friendly. This woman and HER friend gave devoted care. My friend paid 25.00 an hour and ordering in a meal a day for all. Even at that the expense was as you can imagine enormous. I think that I haven't ever, however, seen something work so well, as these women were inexperienced with illness and the learning curve was sudden. Given that my friend had RN friends there were some who could help with a quick education, but wow, it's not easy.

Wishing you good luck.

I'm sure it varies from state to state, but the average is probably $20-$35/hr.
