Adding to what each of the 3 previous posters suggested, I would ask if he's on oxygen, when his last pulmonary exam was, and if he was on oxygen, whether or not the meter flow was increased by his pulmonologist.   Also, do you know what his cardiac ejection fraction is?

Do you have a question Marish? If his difficulties are new or increasing I'd be concerned about heart failure or fluid around the heart, this needs medical intervention asap.
