You would not be eligible for benefits that a spouse would get but you might get paid to care for him. (and a spouse would not unless they have changed that for Vietnam Veterans as they did for Gulf Storm and more current) Please check with the VA for recent changes they have made. Pretty sure it is called Blue Water Benefits, not sure if it restricted to navy or if others that have been exposed would qualify.
Also Might not want to specifically mention "Agent Orange" there were other chemicals used and a rainbow of designations and if you specifically Agent Orange that might miss others that he/she might have been exposed to.

The OP isn’t the spouse. The spouse died in 2012 and the veteran is also deceased. So it’s a bit of mystery why they are asking for benefits someone who died 8 years ago would be entitled to. Spouses of Vietnam veterans are only entitled benefits if the veteran died of an agent Orange related disease.

The same one who died in 2012? Curious why you have the name attorney in your user ID because an attorney shouldn’t here asking the kind of questions you are asking.

an ex spouse is not entitled to VA benefits. If they are not legally remarried, the ex spouse is still an ex spouse and not entitled to anything.
