I told my mother that she needed to keep up her strength because I wouldn't be able to care for her at home if she became frail and bed bound. Beyond that think about ways to cram the maximum calories into her with the least amount of food, I'm linking some good AgingCare articles

Giver her something good .. Give her what she is craving for... ice cream, cookies, milkshakes with a bit of protein powder and fresh fruit...
fresh fruit with a bit of whipped cream...

cream of chicken soup... chicken pot pie.. and if she is on soft foods.. blend it. it still tastes good.

If she isn't hungry... Just a tablespoon at a time.. Too Much Can Look Gross...

And trust me.. that can be a turn off...

THE POINT IS GET SOMETHING DOWN HER THROAT... THAT SHE MAY LIKE.. A LITTLE TASTE AT A TIME... MAKE IT FUN... FUN FUN FUN..
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.........HER MUSIC WHAT DOES SHE LIKE? DANCE DANCE DANCE.... If she doesn't want to eat... MAKE HER DANCE... and then give her a teaspoon of goodness...whatever she likes...
If you are on this site.. It doesns't matter what it is, as long as she likes it.. Make it a happy moment, and if you get someone to go with you and make it a bit of a party.. that is even better... DON'T FORGET TO SMILE~!!!!! SMILE SMILE.It is okay. who wan't to see anything but your beautiful smile and laughter... Honestly that's what she needs the most. Keep it happy.
