"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."
This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Quail Ridge — and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities — has shared since 1998, when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful — a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care.
Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, lovely gardens and walking trails, Emeritus at Quail Ridge is located close to I-27 and Loop 289 in a residential area within blocks of City Bank, Plains Capital Bank, Bealls, Ross and Market Street grocery. Our community also offers easy access to many local parks, including Lubbock Memorial Arboretum, Clapp Park, Wagner Park, Wheelock Park and Davis Park. In addition, Emeritus at Quail Ridge is within five miles of Covenant Health System and University Medical Center, as well as close to a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
Over the past decade our community has become well known in the area for our innovative approach to caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or Dementia — an approach we call "Join Their Journey." The premise of Join Their Journey®, which is based on research conducted on seniors with Alzheimer's Disease, is simple: We believe that seniors affected by memory disorders still have so much to contribute to life. So our goal is to create a nurturing environment and provide ongoing opportunities every day that allow them to live purposeful, successful lives despite their disease.
Toward this end, we create specially designed memory care neighborhoods that provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting tailored to each resident's unique needs. Within this environment, our highly trained staff joins residents in their moment, rather than trying to bring them into our reality. Through this approach, we recognize individuality, encourage choices and help residents maintain their dignity. We also work diligently to get to know each resident and his or her family, so that we can offer the right support for every stage of the disease process.
Join Their Journey® offers these unique components:
In addition, our short-stay respite gives you or a loved one the opportunity to live at our community on a "trial basis" without making a major move or commitment. This is an outstanding option should a caregiver want a break or need to travel on business.
Your loved one may simply need assistance during the day. In this case, be sure to ask us about our specialized Senior Day Programs, which offers health services tailored to your loved ones special needs. He or she will also benefit from the same activities program we make available to all of our residents, including exercise classes and outings on the bus. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
